Ministries at The OasisLearn more about the Ministries at The Oasis.
At The Oasis, we believe that our children are vital to the health of our church. We are committed to training, equipping and releasing them into their full potential. Our goal is to spark and feed a passion within them that will burn into adulthood. We don’t believe that children are the future church …they are today’s church. Childrens Church is every Sunday after worship in the basement.

Special Needs Ministry
When Jesus said in Matthew 19:14, “Let the little children come to me,” He meant all of them, including our friends who are different and have unique abilities. At the Oasis Church, we believe every child is gifted and should be able to have a relationship with God. We rob them of the joy and richness that knowing and serving the Lord bring when we exclude them. The body of Christ also misses out from their unique, God given abilities and gifts. We partner with the Holy Spirit who draws all men to Lord to teach them irrespective of their abilities. Our trained children’s ministry team would like to work with parents to determine the best way to support their children. We trust God to create the atmosphere in which their faith formation and Spiritual journey can be fostered.
The purpose of the Oasis children’s church special needs ministry is to facilitate inclusion inside the life of the church for children with additional needs and their family. We do not provide therapy, behavior modification programs or medical intervention. To the best of our abilities, our ministry team will strive to follow guidance from, and utilize tools provided by, parents. Medical assistance will be sought in emergency situations. Our ministry team and church leaders respect your family’s right to privacy. Any information shared is communicated directly with those caring for your child on a “need to know” basis.
To get to know your child’s uniqueness and the best way to include them, we have case by case intake process.
At first contact, an appointment is made for meet and greet. This is a meeting between the parents and a ministry team member, to get to know about your child’s uniqueness and needs. During this meeting, you are given an intake form to complete. A walk through our facility is also done on the same or on a different day.
Children with Sensory Processing Disorders
A special pre-arranged walk-through of the facility on a quiet day is recommended, for the children to familiarize themselves with the sensory room and ministry environment.

The Creative Arts team at The Oasis uses arts as a supernatural way to release the love and power of God that brings healing and transformation. This is a part of our mandate as a ministry to equip and release people to use their giftings in and outside the church.
The Hospitality Ministry of The Oasis is made up of Potlucks, Jehovah Java, and Social events that get people connected.
If you would like more information, or would like to volunteer in this ministry, please contact The Oasis Administration at 780-539-6179.
Men’s ministry aims to challenge those involved and create a close-knit family where there is no judgement and where everyone feels safe to communicate about issues together.
The Oasis is dedicated to bringing the name of Jesus Christ to the world, as He commanded us to do in the bible. We want to see as many people as possible reached with the gospel before the return of Jesus; that they may know Him and experience Him.

The Children’s Nursery is a part of the Genext Children Ministry. The nursery is provided every Sunday morning to mother’s so they are able to hear the Sunday message in peace without distraction.
We strive at making sure that your children are protected in every way possible to keep The Oasis a safe haven. That is why we have implemented the requirement of a Criminal Reference Check for every volunteer over the age of 16. All volunteers also have to take Plan to Protect, another program we have implemented which gives all volunteers of not only Children’s ministry, but all positions in the church, the necessary training needed for handling different situations with your children. Also, please note that there is a 1 to 4 ratio for volunteers. This means that for every 4 children, where is one volunteer.
Parents bringing their children to the nursery MUST sign their child in and out. Also, each parent receives a tag with a number on it. That number is an identification number for your child. If you see this number on the projection screen in the middle of the service, this means you must go upstairs to attend to your child.
If you have any more questions, please call the office.
Part of Prayer & Intercession at The Oasis is Sozo Ministry. The definition of sozo is found in the Greek: to save or make well or whole.
Sozo ministry is a unique inner healing and deliverance ministry aimed to get to the root of things hindering your personal connection with the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. With a healed connection, you can walk in the destiny to which you have been called.
A Sozo session is a time for the Sozo team to sit down with you and with the help of the Holy Spirit walk you through the process of freedom and wholeness. Sozo is not a counseling session but a time of interacting with Father, Son and Holy Spirit for wholeness and pursuing of your destiny.
A captive is someone who has been slimed and imprisoned; someone who is locked in unforgiveness. Forgiveness is the key that unlocks prisoner doors.
Freedom in Christ is God’s love gift to you at the cost of the life and blood of His beloved Son. It needs to be guarded carefully and worked out diligently in daily living.
The Prayer Ministry of Freedom is the working grace of God in your life by the Holy Spirit.
- To recover full use of functions the devil has restricted
- To exercise the Lordship of Christ in areas previously used by the evil one for his purposes
- To help you reach fullfilment where before you experienced frustration and disappointment
- To return to you victories you once knew, or to lift you to new levels of spiritual understanding and usefulness for the Glory of Jesus Christ
To book an appointment with a Sozo Prayer Ministry Team, please call the office. There is a suggested donation of $50.
The Technical Ministries at The Oasis is comprised of two sections:
- Live Sound
The Digital Media Engineer is responsible for everything we see on the screen, from
preparation to operation. The second aspect of the Digital Media Technician’s role is to record the sermons using the program Audacity, and then applying effects and saving the audio file. Experience preferred, although training will be provided for as long as needed. All you need to be is willing to try it, and to know how to click a mouse!
The Live Sound Engineer exists to provide quality sound for instruments, vocals, and audio through the Front of House mix (main speaker system) as well as the stage monitor mix for all corporate services and events/productions.
If you have any questions about any of the two areas, or would like to become a volunteer, please contact the office or by email at email@example.com.
Thanks and God Bless.
